Novel Perspectives is a student-driven book club that meets once a month. At our meetings, we discuss literature that gives voice to writers that may not be often heard in the classroom. Students participate in the selection of books and the discussions are frequently also led by students. The Novel Perspectives book club serves as a way to increase community dialogue with marginalized communities that are not widely represented in the curriculum.

NEXT MEETING: TBD
After teaching all different grade levels and courses, I fell in love with teaching English 10 Honors. My favorite part of teaching is helping my students realize they can do more than they believe they can! Some of my favorite books are To Kill a Mockingbird, Where the Crawdads Sing, The Harry Potter Series, and A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. When I’m not teaching, you can find me spending time with my husband and my adorable dog, Ranger.
