Alexander Hamilton was the first Secretary of Treasurer. He retired from
being secretary in 1795. Hamilton also
fought in battles in the Revolutionary War
such as trenton,white plains, long island,
ect.After the war he went to New York City
to study law.
Elizabeth Hamilton was Alexander Hamilton´s wife. She raised money for the Washington monument. She also supported orphanages and raised money for them. Elizabeth Hamilton preserve all of Alexander Hamilton´s famous documents for Hamilton´s legacy.
Alexander Hamilton also was George Washington's assistant, and he wrote George Washington's farewell address. He also wrote 51 Federalist papers, and he established the first National Bank in the U.S.
