About Me

Hello my name is Alex Thornhill and this is my 5th year teaching, my second year teaching 6th grade Math. I previously taught 7th and 8th grade Math. Outside of teaching I enjoy walking my dog Lexi, cooking, and Reese's peanut butter cups.  I am excited to be back in 6th grade teaching Math and Science this year. I look forward to a great year. 

My favorite part of teaching is seeing the growth of students from the beginning to the end of the year. I believe every child is capable of math, regardless of difficulties they have had in the past. They have to put forth effort and give it their all each and every day. Math is not a spectator sport, students learn by doing not sitting by idle.
