Hello!

I'm Mrs. Tapper, and I am going to be your 4th grade reading teacher this year! I am so excited to meet each and everyone of you! This is my fourth year teaching at EMIS. Before I came to EMIS, I taught fourth grade at Chapel Glen Elementary School in Indianapolis, Indiana.

I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in psychology from Indiana University. I love teaching reading, and I am excited to continue to help you thrive as readers this year.

I grew up in the small town of Connersville, Indiana. My husband, Adam, and I moved to North Carolina from Indiana three years ago, and we are happy to call this our home! My parents and siblings still live in Indiana, so we like visit home often. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, reading and crafting.

I can't wait to begin learning and growing with you!

Hello everyone!! Welcome to 4th grade at EMIS! I am Mrs. West, and I am going to be your Math teacher this year! I am looking forward to kicking off the 2021-22 school year with all of you! I am new to the Mooresville area but am beginning my 17th year teaching. I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades prior to this year.

I graduated from Appalachian State (Go App State!) in 2005 with my Bachelor’s degree in education and then obtained my Master’s degree in instruction from Gardner Webb University.

I grew up in a small town with one traffic light named Independence, VA and then moved to Asheville, NC when I married my husband, Brandon, in 2008. I have two daughters (ages 6 and 2) and a black Labrador dog named Hudson. We love to read together, play outside, and swim. I also love to get my hands dirty in the garden, canning, and talking about anything to anyone I meet.

I look forward to hearing your ideas as we grow, develop, and learn. I will see you very soon!
