I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, my name is Alex Mays. I got married to Jacob Mays in September 2017. I graduated from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education in 2014. I am from Mooresville and went to Lake Norman High School. (I know I am from the other side!) I LOVE teaching here in MGSD. This will be my eight year of teaching, and I'm excited to have your kids to share it with!

I love reading, taking pictures, being outdoors, being at the beach, being in the mountains, traveling, Ireland, cats, and spending time with my friends and family. I have two cats. Blair is very fluffy. Finley Marie is very curious and playful. In June we got a puppy named Judge. He is an Australian Shepard Border Collie mix. They are very loving and playful. I love to read pretty much anything, but I enjoy reading the Harry Potter series the most. :) I love to eat Chick-Fil-A, Burrito Loco, and Monsoon’s. I always have to stop in at Target and Old Navy. I may or may not spend most of my money there…. I like starbursts, brownies and warm chocolate chip cookies!

I am thrilled to be starting this journey with you and your children. I look forward to watching them learn, grow and have a fantastic time in second grade!
