About Me

Hello and Welcome!

My name is John Bustle. This is my fifth year teaching at Mooresville Middle School. I grew up down the road in Troutman, NC and graduated from South Iredell High School. I have always heard great things about Mooresville Graded Schools, so I decided to join the team here! I am super pumped about my fourth year here.

I graduated from Appalachian State University(go Mountaineers!) with a degree in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in both science and math. I had some wonderful experiences while attending App. State and learned a lot from the middle grades program there. I had the opportunity to teach in all sorts of classrooms during my time there and look forward to applying those skills here.

I grew up in a family of teachers. My father is recently retired from South Iredell High school, my mom was a TA at Troutman Elementary School. I have three brothers, two of which are teachers. Dewey Bustle who used to teach math at MHS and is now here at MMS. His wife (my sister-in-law) also used to teach at MHS in the ELA department. She is now a guidance counselor at the high school . My other brother, Henry Bustle, teaches high school math. And the odd ball out Alex is a Recreational Therapist in Morganton. I am married to a WONDERFUL women Lauren. She is also in the education field as an elementary school teacher. I also became an uncle a few years ago. I currently have three nieces, Adah Corbin, and Sawyer and a two nephews Tate and Samuel. They are awesome and I love to see them and hangout as much as I possibly can.

While I love to hang out with my family I do have some more interests as well. I love getting outside and really doing whatever. I love to hop in my kayak and do some fishing on Lake Norman and the New River. I am also an avid sports fan. I mainly follow football and wrestling, but I do try and watch as much sports as I can. This will be my fifth year coaching the wrestling team here at MMS. I will also be coaching football as well!
