About Me

I was born and raised on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and it remains my favorite place in the world. I graduated from Appalachian State University in May, 2015 with a degree in Special Education and a dual licensure to teach General Education K-6. I live in Mooresville with my kitten, Nelly. I am so thankful to be a part of this community and I am proud to call it my home.

This will be my 7th year teaching in MGSD and I have loved every moment. Teaching is my heart and soul because it is my passion to foster a love of learning and to help students discover their potential and prepare them for the wonderful world ahead. I also love getting to know each student and learning all of the small moments and stories that that make them who they are.

Some of the things that make my heart happy include: My kitten Nelly, spending time with my friends and EMIS besties, visiting my parents at the beach, working out at Daily Fitness, taking a day trip, and eating good food!
