About me

Hello everyone, my name is Tori Alamina and I am a 5th grade math teacher at EMIS for the 2023-2024 school year! I am originally from Roseville, California, was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, and currently reside in Mooresville with my husband, Jacob, and parrot, Brandi. My alma mater is Appalachian State University, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science, majoring in Elementary Education. My academic specialty is in math, science and technology.

I have four older siblings; Josiah, Parker, Mattie, and Remi and one brother-in-law, Danny. Within 2021, my ever-growing family welcomed my nephew, Jameson, and niece, Skylar into the world. Aunt life has been a treasure! When I have free-time, I enjoy lifting weights, playing disc golf, hiking, doing yoga, reading, teaching my Brandi new words and phrases. I am a coffee fiend and love finding new local coffee shops! I am ecstatic to be your child’s teacher this year and to partner with you in their education!
