Welcome!
You will all be researching a different immigration/emigration pattern, or movement, of people to the United States. Your assignment is linked to the right and the slides from the mini-lesson on RESEARCH DATABASES are below that. Please review them both for reference.
This pathfinder will include links to our databases as well as our library catalog, and more. Many of our databases also include images, videos, and editorial (opinion) articles.
You will have access to these materials any time during the course of this project, whether from school or from home. If you are accessing the information from home, you will need to use the login and password below.
For all of our databases, please use the following login and password:
Login: mononagrove
Password: silvereagles
Step-by-step guide:
The first step for this project might be just to Google your movement, or check Wikipedia in order to generate a list of key words to use as SEARCH TERMS once you get into the databases.
The following resources might help with background info on US Immigration in general, including info on the American Dream, and a general timeline:

Next, use your list of keywords/search terms to search in our databases for information about your specific movement:
Then, check out the pages on this website to support your research and your citations (Tips on Conducting Research and the Purdue OWL website for citations.)
For citations, use the Chrome extension "Cite This For Me" (search in Chrome Web Store and click "add this extension") or use MyBib website.
And, finally, if you have any questions, please visit the library where I am happy to help!
Links to ALL resources can be found below.
Thanks,
Ms. McIntosh, Librarian
