History
The Middle Georgia Chapter began in July 2022 in an effort to support and encourage special educators in the Middle Georgia area to be a part of the chapter experience. We noticed we had lots of members who did not belong to a specific chapter and only were members of the Council for Exceptional Children on a National level. To help retain, support, and encourage special educators, the Middle Georgia Chapter was born.
