Mrs. McCool

My name is Jamie McCool, and I can't believe we are heading into my 17th year of teaching 5th grade.  I am positive I have been able to stay in 5th grade my entire career because it is simply the best!

I received my Elementary Education degree from Millikin University in 2006.  I come from a family of educators as my grandma was a preschool teacher for many years, and my mom was a teacher and then administrator for the last half of her career.  I student taught at South Shores Elementary in Kindergarten (which I loved), then landed the 5th-grade position here at Maroa Forsyth and have been enjoying every day since!

I graduated from Sullivan High School where I was involved in all sports and extracurricular activities such as FCCLA, Sullivan Singers Show Choir, and National Honor Society.  

When I am not teaching  I love to play outside and practice all sports with my three kids, walk my dog Barkley, and spend time with my husband and our families.  

I can't wait to begin my 17th year of teaching with another awesome group of kids!
