CTE @ MEWA: CTE is a broad term for education that focuses primarily on career development, and joining MEWA's CTE program is a great way to begin exploring exciting career fields!

WHAT IS CTE?: Career Technical Education (CTE) provides students with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners. When working through Career and Technical Education courses, you are preparing yourself for a wide range of high-wage, high-skill, high-demand careers.

WHY CTE?: In total, about 12.5 million high school and college students are enrolled in CTE across the nation. The high school graduation rate for students that take CTE classes (known as CTE concentrators) is about 90 percent – 15 percentage points higher than the national average. That’s why MEWA has created a CTE Program, which currently offers courses in 3 high-demand career pathways.
