Why Host?
Opening your home is an enriching experience for both your family and the visiting student:
- Cultural Exchange: Gain a new perspective and forge a lasing global connection.
- Language Practice: Your international student will have a real-world, daily opportunity to practice their English, and your student can learn and practice world languages!
Next Steps?
Please prayerfully consider this opportunity to open your heart and home. It is a powerful way to foster international understanding and make a difference in a student’s educational journey.
If you are interested in becoming a host family or have any questions about the commitment, please contact our International Student Coordinator, Christy Argo, as soon as possible.

April 2026 Need:
15 Homes for the 15 French Exchange students
9 Girl homes
6 Boy homes
CURRENT HOST HOME NEEDS:
January 2027 IMMEDIATE Need:
I have a home for Alan for the 25-26 school year, but I will need a home for him for the 2026-27 school year.
This can be a semester placement or a full year placement.
Alan will be a Junior for the 26-27 SY. He is a very nice young man and would very easily fit into the host home.
If no home is found he will return back to China.
Hosting an international exchange student isn’t just about providing a spare bedroom; it is an invitation to bring the mission field directly to your dinner table.
While many feel called to "go into all the world," hosting allows the world to come to you, transforming your home into a unique site for relational ministry. By opening your doors, you are participating in a domestic mission trip where the "unreached" becomes a guest in your home, and the Gospel is shared not through a pulpit, but through the daily rhythms of grace, hospitality, and shared life.
What type of host families are needed?
Full Year Host Home
This would be a full year commitment to host an international student in your home (always prefered)
Semester Host Home
This would be af semester commitment to host but could turn into a full year commitment if all parties agreed to this arrangement. (great way to see if this pairing is a good fit)
Temporary Host Home (always needed as a stand by option)
This would include an emergency placement need.
As a short term need if students host family is traveling.
Any need that would require a short term stay that could be from 1-3 days upto 1-2 weeks stay.
One of the most significant rewards of hosting international students is the exchange of cultures and ideas. Our homes become places of cultural exchange where students share their traditions, customs, and stories, enriching our lives with their perspectives and experiences.
In return, we have the chance to introduce them to our Christian faith, share our own cultural heritage, and engage in meaningful discussions about spirituality and life's purpose.
A Bond that Lasts a Lifetime: The relationships formed during their stay often extend well beyond their time with you. These young individuals become a part of your family, and the bonds forged are enduring. You may have the opportunity to visit them in their home countries, further deepening the connection.
What to expect as a host home:
Students may share a bedroom with one sibling of the same sex and appropriate age
Students must have their own bed
Student can share a bathroom
Students will be provided 3 square meals a day. These meals do not have to be prepared every day, but food should be available in the house for 3 meals.
Students bring their own funds for their personal expenses. Students are responsible for all of their personal expenses such as a cell phone, toiletries, clothing, postage, trips, activities, etc.
Students are fully insured for medical expenses
Host families will be responsible for their transportation to and from school along with all school related events.
Your student should be treated just like any other member of your family and fit into your family's plans and structure.
You will be supported throughout this entire process
There will be a application to fill out
Small background check will take place
As a host home you will receive a payment each month or hosting your student. Please contact Christy Argo further information.
