About Us

The Me Too Association is a survivor-led, grassroots collective of intersectional feminists from Iran, formed in response to the global #MeToo movement. We exist to amplify the voices and stories of women, queer individuals, and survivors of sexual violence in societies where such experiences are taboo, criminalized, or silenced.

Founded by volunteers and survivors, our mission is rooted in empathy, justice, and empowerment. For over four years, we’ve created safe, confidential digital spaces where individuals affected by gender-based violence (GBV) can share their stories without fear. We offer critical support—legal, psychological, and emotional—especially in contexts where institutional protection is absent or harmful.

We are one of the few organizations working in both Farsi and Dari, committed to accessible, culturally sensitive advocacy. Our collective includes social workers, therapists, legal experts, and content creators who operate with care, confidentiality, and deep understanding of the local realities in Iran and Afghanistan.

By centering the voices of survivors, we challenge systemic violence, break cycles of shame, and demand a future built on consent, justice, and bodily autonomy.
