Accuplacer
Wondering about the Accuplacer? Watch the videos below to learn more.
STEP 1. Make sure you have a CCRI ID number.
What is a CCRI Student ID#? This is an 8 digit number which starts with the number 9. You can find it in emails from CCRI and on your MyCCRI account.
If you are new to CCRI, you must complete this is a writeable form - LINK - - download first, then type, SAVE and rename - then return to Sue in Unity or email to sue.lynch@metmail.org to get a CCRI ID# before you can schedule the test.
STEP 2. Schedule your test. Use our ACCUPLACER TESTING APPOINTMENT FILL IN THE BLANK
- or, follow directions below.
- or, follow directions below.
Include in the email:
Your full name
Date of Birth
Your CCRI ID#
Your cell phone number
That you are requesting to schedule the Accuplacer and that you are a HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT so you are not charged the $25. It is free the first time high school students take the Accuplacer.
You must say in the email if you want to take the test in person or remotely. We strongly recommend you choose the in-person option at a testing center.
If you want to take a course in the chemistry department, you also need to request a Chemistry Placement test using the same directions.
CCRI will email or text you back to schedule an appointment. Kindly send me the test results when completed.
AT THE CCRI TESTING CENTERS - When you arrive, you must have a photo ID (your Met ID or driver's license) to show the proctor. Be sure to show up at least 10 minutes early - testing appointments start at a set time for all testers at that time. You will not be allowed in if you are late.
REMOTELY (not recommended) - You can take the test at home and you must have a photo ID (your Met ID or driver's license) to show the AI proctor. Your computer must have a webcam and microphone; cell phones will not work. There will be an online, AI proctor giving you directions and watching while you take the test.
