SR Goals for 9th and10th Grade: Understand what SR is, provide opportunities to "think like a social scientist", build background knowledge and exposure to the current state of the world, introduce ABAR topics and themes, consider additional civics topics.
When possible, double dip with a Literacy practice
( annotating, previewing, claim/ evidence - two column notes, top down web, activators, writing process, 6 traits, summary)
There are a series of lessons leading up to reading STAMPED. For some advisories these pre-lessons themselves will be an excellent exploration into ABAR themes and activities. Some advisories will want to go on to read selections or the entirety of STAMPED. Here is a link to the folder of materials
