Wednesday, September 3rd
5:30-6:30 p.m.: Celestial Highlights & solar System Tour (KIDS EDITION)(Great for young audiences: Pre-k to 3rd Grade)
Do you have an astronomer in training that wants to share what they know with you while the show is going on? Then this is the show for you! Planetarium Director Adam Chantry will take you on a tour of our celestial neighborhood with plenty of pauses and questions that your young astronomer can discuss with you. Visit all of the major objects in the solar system with stunning up-close views. We may even have time to visit some of the lesser-known objects.
7:00-8:00 p.m.: Celestial Highlights & Planet Tour (Lecture Style: Recommended 4th Grade through Adult)
Planetarium Director Adam Chantry will take you on a guided tour of our celestial neighborhood. Visiting the major objects in the solar system with stunning up-close views and swing by some of the lesser known and interesting objects orbiting our Sun.
Wednesday, October 1st
5:30-6:30 p.m.: Celestial Highlights &Moons: Worlds of Mystery (Recommended 3rd Grade through Adult)
Moons: Worlds of Mystery is a full-dome movie that immerses you in the amazing diversity of moons and tells the story of their important role in shaping our solar system. Follow in the footsteps of astronauts to our Moon, and then venture beyond, to unfamiliar and exotic worlds: the outer planets and their moons. We’ll return home with new-found wonder about the dynamic and intricate solar system in which we all live
7:00-8:00 p.m.: Celestial Highlights & ‘Super’ Moon Talk (Lecture Style: Recommended 6th Grade through Adult)
What is so SUPER about the Moon this month? And what is a Blue Moon? When is the Harvest Moon? Planetarium director Adam Chantry will answer these questions and many more as he presents about the connection between humans and the Moon and how our understanding has changed over time.
Wednesday, November 5th
5:30-6:30 p.m.: Celestial Highlights & Saturn Talk (Lecture Style Recommended 4th Grade through Adult)
Saturn is positioned perfectly in the sky this month for evening viewing, or is it? Planetarium director Adam Chantry takes this opportunity to take deep dive into the famous ringed planet. you will see stunning close-up views of Saturn and its rings as we explore the history of Saturn, some of its more interesting satellites (moons), and what we are still learning today about this favorite celestial sight.
7:00-8:00 p.m.: No Celestial Highlights Sky Tour - Part of our History/Geography Series: The Donner Party (Lecture Style: Recommended 6th Grade through Adult)
In Early November 1846 a group of pioneers headed for California were trapped in a snowstorm. Their struggles for the next 6 months became one of the most infamous tales in the expansion of our country. Learn how the Donner Party was doomed long before that early November snowstorm and the role that geography of our grate nation had to do with their fate. Our planetarium isn't just great for learning about the sky, we can also look back at the Earth from space and get a better understanding of Geography and how that geography can affect our history. Come see how we use the planetarium in some of our history classes. (This show will NOT include a sky viewing portion)

What is a Menorah and why do we light candles night by night? Why do people kiss under the Mistletoe? Why do so many celebrations from cultures around the world take place on the shortest days of the year? Come learn about these and many other interesting facts to a backdrop of holiday themed music.
