Hello!  Welcome to My Webpage.

I'm Mr. Merscher.  This is my 27th year teaching, 24th here at Arcola.  I'm originally from Philadelphia where I graduated from the building formerly known as Cardinal Dougherty High School.   I earned my bachelor's degree from Widener University and my master's degree from West Chester University.   I played football and ran track in high school and while at Widener.  This year I will be teaching two Math 8 classes, two of Algebra I, and one Honors Algebra.  I look forward to working with all of you at some point this year.

I also coach the girls cross country team, girls basketball team,  and the girls track & field team.  GET INVOLVED!

• Pencils

• Graph composition book or 3-ring binder with graph paper (NO REGULAR NOTEBOOKS NEEDED)

• Any one of the following TI-84 Graphing Calculators:  TI-84 Plus CE Python, TI-84 Plus CE, TI-84 Plus

• Headphones/earbuds or whatever the children call them these days.

• Dry erase marker

• Trade you some candy for a box of tissues! (optional but would be much appreciated)

• NO SQUEEZABLE WATER BOTTLES PERMITTED IN CLASS, 

• NO "OPEN STRAW" WATER BOTTLES PERMITTED IN CLASS.  HERE'S A QUICK TEST TO SEE IF YOUR WATER BOTTLE IS ACCEPTABLE:  PICK UP YOUR WATER BOTTLE...HOLD IT ABOVE YOUR HEAD...TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN...IF WATER SPILLS ON YOUR HEAD...IT IS NOT ALLOWED.  LOL
