About the Teacher

Professional: 

I graduated with my teaching certificate from Bucknell University in 2003. Prior to coming to Methacton in 2005, I taught in Maryland and Philadelphia.  This will be my 19th year teaching 7th grade English at Arcola, and I absolutely love it.  I am currently on Team Avalanche, the best team in 7th grade.  Hopefully, you will have fun this year!

Family:

I have a wonderful family.  My husband is an 8th grade teacher at Gwynedd-Mercy Academy.  He coaches soccer in the fall and loves to run daily.  I have three beautiful daughters: Amy (13 years old), Caitlin (9 years old), and Addison (6 years old).  They are spirited and happy girls that keep me quite busy.  We also have a 4-legged family member: Moose.  Moose is our Great Dane (2 years old) who is simply a love and the biggest baby!

Fun Facts:

1. I am a proud product of the Methacton School District.  I went to Woodland Elementary, then Arcola Intermediate School, and graduated from Methacton High School in 1999.

2. My father recently retired from Methacton High School as a Chemistry teacher.

3. I absolutely love junk food, sweets, and Diet Coke. I have the worst diet on the team!

4. I used to work with the musicals here at Arcola and the Color Guard at the high school.
