Below you will find activities and skills that you can focus on and practice at home for all throughout the year. At the bottom of this page, you can find a list of resources and links used in school that can be accessed at home for additional reinforcement.

Counting to 10 or 20 (then progressing)
Writing numbers legibly
Matching 1:1
Naming shapes
Using math vocab (add, subtract, equal to, etc.)
Comparing size and quantity (Bigger than, smaller than, more than, less, than, equal to, etc.)
Counting on (starting from a number other than 1)
Naming numbers from a random set
Skip counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s

Keep a daily journal
Print additional sight word or number packets to make a Memory game
Practice reading age appropriate books
Read a book together - look for sight words, talk about character traits, or make up a different ending to the story
Make your own book
Use old magazine to practice cutting and sorting pictures by size, color, or theme
Build with blocks, Play-doh, or other materials
Help make a grocery list and go shopping together
Make up a game and it's rules then teach it to someone else
Complete monthly packets (after they are sent home if not completed)
