General Music

Welcome to the music room at Eagleville Elementary School!

My name is Mrs. Nugent and this is my eighth year teaching in the Methacton School District. I am so excited to start making music with everyone! I am a graduate from West Chester University (WCU) earning my degree in Music and Elementary Education. While at WCU, I enjoyed playing flute and singing in choirs. During my free time I enjoy singing, running, playing with my dog, seeing the Philadelphia Orchestra, and watching Disney movies. I'm very excited to work with the talented and hard working students at Eagleville Elementary School in the Methacton School District.

During music class we will be playing many instruments and learning how to read musical solfa and rhythms. Some of the instruments we will be practicing in the music room include drums such as djembes, hand drums, and tubanos. We will use pitched instruments such as xylophones, glockenspiels and metallophones. In third and fourth grade we play recorders! Let's make it a great year!

Check out what we are learning about in kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade, and fourth grade.
