Name Writing Activities

It is very important to have your child learn to write his/her name correctly. The first letter should be capital and the rest lowercase.

Listed below are a few ideas of activities that can be used to practice name writing.

• Practice writing name on paper correctly. Please use proper pencil grip.

• Use different writing tools including crayons, markers, colored pencils, and sidewalk chalk to practice writing your name.

• Write your child's name and have him/her use rice to trace each letter.

• Use playdoh “snakes” to form each letter.

• Rainbow write (each letter in a different color) name on paper. Please use proper pencil grip.

• Use shaving cream in the bathtub to practice writing each letter.
