ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA & GUIDELINES:
The competition is open to groups of individuals (maximum of 2 students + 1 Advisor per team) enrolled in the Bachelor's/Diploma/Certificate Programme or High School students (Private/MOE/MRSM) between September 2023 and May 2024. An official declaration letter/proof will be requested.
The proposed ideas should be original (no plagiarism or copyright from previous projects). They must cover one of the themes of "Towards Digitalization & Sustainability in Aviation, Aerospace, and Mechanical."
The proposed concept should support the advancement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly,
SDG 7 - Affordable and Clean Energy: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all
SDG 9 - Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure: Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation
SDG 11 - Climate Action: Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable
The winning team will be officially published on the GTA website. An award ceremony will be held during the Asia Turbomachinery Pump Symposium 2024 organized by Texas A&M University.
GTA will fully own the project proposals submitted by all entrants.
The winning team of the Powering Your Innovation Competition will also be allowed to receive an offer of an internship placement or industrial visit with GTA or with the support team within its organization.
