Varsity Mixed Choir

Varsity Mixed choir is an auditioned ensemble that competes at the 5A Varsity level at UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest. This group is made up of treble, tenor, and bass voices. Students in this choir also compete in the 5A Varsity Treble Choir or 5A Varsity Tenor-Bass Choir at UIL. Rehearsals are required outside of class in the spring to prepare for UIL.

Tempo Show Choir

Tempo our show choir at West Mesquite. Tempo members are selected through an audition that includes singing, dancing, and an interview. Students in this group are required to be enrolled in another UIL competing choir. Auditioning for All Region Choir and performing a solo and UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest are also required for participants. Rehearsals are required outside of class.

Select Treble Choir

Select Treble Choir is our top treble choir at West. This group of talented ladies competes as a 5A Non-Varsity Choir at UIL Concert and Sightreading Contest. An audition is required for this group.

Concert Treble Choir

Concert Treble Choir is our 5A Sun-Non Varsity Choir that competes at UIL Concert and Sightreading. An audition is required for this group.

Tenor-Bass Choir

The Tenor-Bass Choir is made up of mainly freshmen men, or men who are new to choir. This group usually competes with the men from the Varsity Mixed Choir at UIL as a 5A Varsity Tenor-Bass Choir. Outside rehearsals are required in the spring to prepare for UIL.

Beginner Treble Choir

The Beginner Treble Choir is an unauditioned group of ladies who are new to choir or need to refine skills for choir.
