Puss In Boots: The Last Wish is a great depiction of not taking life for granted and that you should live life to the fullest. This Oscar nominated movie is a burst of watching your childhood flash before your eyes with the introduction of many fictional characters that add fulfillment to Dream Works Animation movies. And to not leave out the one character that portrays the villain in the form of a Wolf, DEATH. Using death in Puss’s story in this movie gives the moment of realization that everyone has one life to live and at the end of the day you should cherish the friends and people you have. This movie is combined with multiple characters' stories wanting to be granted their own wish from the wishing star, leaving them all to chase each other and hopefully beat the others to it. Overall, this movie is a great movie to watch with your friends, family, or partner. You will not regret watching this movie!
Interstellar is one of the most scientifically accurate sci-fi movies of all time. It perfectly portrays the feeling of isolation, the essence of time, and love. It’s almost difficult to write this review because it’s a film that leaves you speechless, at a loss of words to describe how truly amazing this film is. The acting, the script, the plot, the characters, the message, everything about this film is perfect. It’s a mind bobbling film filled with so much emotion yet logic. Interstellar is a fictional movie but there's so much reality to it. It shows how valuable time is and how fast time goes by. After watching this movie, I was able to reflect on my life and it truly taught me to live life to the fullest. As cliche as it always sounded to me, Interstellar was able to really put it in perspective for me as it has for so many people that have watched the film. On that note, I think about Interstellar at least once a day. It’s a film that I highly recommend to everyone in the world because it might just change your life.
Restaurant Food Review
By Kiara Lopez & Idalis Espinal
K-Top Chicken is a pleasant restaurant that’s easy to miss, but you definitely want to stop by! Right when you walk in, you’re greeted by a friendly worker and provided menus with a delightful array of items. They serve a plentiful variety of Korean cuisine, with dishes ranging from flavored chicken to traditional Korean foods like Kimchi and Tteokbokki (Spicy Rice Cakes). Each item we purchased was cooked thoroughly and exquisitely, each having an impressive presentation in addition to their unique yet wonderful flavors. The servings, in terms of quantity, are large and generous, and the prices are fair, especially considering the area in which the restaurant is located. Additionally, this restaurant utilizes oval shaped plates and provides chopsticks (but, you can also ask for a fork!)
Below, you will find the contents of our order:
Soy Garlic Boneless Chicken Bites
Sweet and Spicy Boneless Chicken Bites
Spicy Pork Dumplings
Scallion Pancakes
Kimchi
Tteokbokki
French Fries
The flavor profile of the overall restaurant can be described as pungent, spicy, sweet, umami, crunchy and savory. You can also pair the delicious plates with drinks like peach, melon, and strawberry Milkis. They actually complimented the food quite well and were a nice treat throughout to offset some of the spiciness. However, it was difficult to differentiate the Soy Garlic Boneless Chicken Bites and the Sweet and Spicy Boneless Chicken Bites, so I’d say if you go to just get one and you’ll basically have the same thing. For people with spice sensitivities, the only significantly spicy items were the Tteokbokki and the Spicy Pork dumplings from what we had.
Overall, there was nothing unpleasant about our experience here, as everything met up with our expectations. The food was prepared quickly and wonderfully, the service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable for the serving sizes. If you’re looking to be introduced to traditional Korean meals with a modern twist, K-Top Chicken is the place to go.
