Share your story

The Honors in Action project for Phi Theta Kappa is to investigate how equity affects the transfer and graduation rates of students of color. To that end, they are creating a video to give students the opportunity to share their campus experience to help bring awareness to this topic.

If you're willing to share your story, PTK wants you to be included. Email Kim at kim2069730@maricopa.edu with a photo of yourself holding a sign describing the barrier or feelings.

Thanks in advance for your support of this project!

Scholarship Deadline Extended

The All-USA Academic Team recognizes high achieving college students who demonstrate academic excellence and intellectual rigor combined with leadership and service that extends their education beyond the classroom to benefit society. Twenty team members in the nation are named annually with each receiving a $5,000 scholarship, a total of $100,000 in scholarship awards. In addition to scholarships, team members are presented at the annual President’s Breakfast held during the American Association of Community Colleges Annual Convention.

Mesa Community College's internal deadline to be considered for nomination is Friday, December 11, 2020, at 5:00pm AZ time. This deadline extension is for all students to complete or modify applications to be considered for the All-USA Academic Team Program and scholarships that do not require a nomination. Additionally, this extension increases ability to be considered for national scholarships, state-based recognition, and potential transfer scholarships from four-year colleges.

We recognize the hard work and persistence by students, advisors, and nominators who completed applications and submitted nominations by the original deadlines. To be equitable, we will give priority consideration to the applications that were completed by the original deadline
