Club History

Our chapter is a preservice educator community at Mesa Community College with a long-standing foundation and a clear sense of purpose. For more than 25 years, we have supported students exploring careers in education through what was originally our Future Educators club. In the summer of 2018, one of our honors students took the initiative to formally charter our chapter with Educators Rising, and we have proudly operated under that name since then.

The students who shape this organization are deeply committed to understanding the realities of teaching and to serving their communities well. Many are engaged in field experiences across local schools, and they bring with them a wide range of backgrounds—first-generation college students, career changers, and individuals who are intentionally preparing to teach in the very communities they come from. What has remained consistent across the years is a strong emphasis on service, leadership, and thoughtful preparation for the profession.
