Mission

It is the mission of the Madison Elementary School Library Media Center to support and enrich the curriculum of this school by:

Providing a current collection of the finest reading and reference materials available within our budget.
Working cooperatively with staff to develop within our students the ability to access and use information in a variety of formats for life-long learning and success.
Providing information services to promote personal achievement and academic excellence.
Subscribing to the tenets of the American Library Association's Bill of Rights and Freedom to Read Statement.
Promoting reading as an integral and joyous part of life and the learning process.
Creating an environment in which technology is used to foster learning, communication, and creativity.
Enabling students to effectively acquire, process, and communicate information in the ever-changing global society.
