SEPTEMBER NEWS

Dear Families,

I am so very excited to welcome your child to fifth grade! I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you and your child this year, and knowing this is their last year at Taylor Mills makes it even more special. I am committed to working with students individually, in small groups, and as a whole class. We will make this a terrific year! 

Inside your child's Taylor Mills folder are back-to-school papers. Most paperwork is completed online, but please look through and return anything needed, and I will direct everything to where they need to go.  This TM folder will be used as a homework folder that will be sent home each afternoon. You can help by filling out the Class List Survey on our Google Classroom. I will compile this list and send it home later in September. Thanks!

We will take a short break for snack each morning, so feel free to send a healthy snack and/or drink for your child. Lunch is scheduled for 11:48-12:18, with recess following from 12:18-12:38. If your child is going home early or to Parent Pick Up, please be sure to send a written note, and I will send it to the office. School will be closed Monday, September 25 for Yom Kippur, and Monday, October 9 for Staff Professional Development.

Our class website can be found at www.mersnj.us/fisher. Browsing this site is a great way to learn about what we are doing in the classroom. It contains this monthly newsletter (which will also go home on paper), a list of the weekly homework, important dates for special events, and other pertinent information. The website is updated at least once per week.

Our class attends special from 1:40-2:20, and our schedule is: 

A- Art B- Phys. Ed., C-alternating between Computers, Spanish, and Guidance, D-Phys. Ed. E- Music  F- Library

All of the above and more will be described in detail on Back to School Night, which is set for the evening of Thursday, September 21. I am looking forward to working with you again this year!
