Jennifer Silipino studied music education at The College of New Jersey where she earned her Bachelor's in Music Education. During her undergraduate studies, Ms. Silipino was the principal flute of the wind ensemble and orchestra, touring within the U.S. and Europe. She obtained her Master's in Education with a focus on Instructional Design and Technology from the American College of Education. She has provided and continues to develop technology workshops and guidance to staff members within the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District.
Mrs. Silipino has been on the Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School music staff since September 2002, and has taught band, jazz band, general music appreciation, and worked on the spring musicals. She is currently the 7th and 8th grade band director, and the select jazz band director.
In addition to teaching, Ms. Silipino has an active performance career. Performance experience has included church, large ensemble, wedding and solo recital concerts as well as frequent freelance work. She has performed second flute with the Bravura Philharmonic Orchestra and was the resident flutist with the Princeton Opera Alliance.
She is an active member of The Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia, served on the board for many years and ran the newsletter for the organization.
Past instructors have included: Virginia Schulze-Johnson, David DiGiacobbe and David Fedele. She has participated in many master classes, including the Jeanne Baxtresser master class at The Juilliard School of Music, Gary Schocker, Keith Underwood and Carol Wincenc.
