Shaileen Crawford Pokress is a visiting scholar at Harvard’s Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering. She is developing and piloting curricula built around the unique capabilities of the Root robot. Earlier, Shay was lead writer for PLTW Launch, a widely adopted elementary CS curriculum. She also directed the education program for MIT App Inventor, a platform for building apps that aims to democratize mobile computing. Shay co-authored the recently released K-12 CS Framework, a collaborative effort to bring CS education to all 50 states.
