What is rowing?
Rowing is a team sport where athletes compete against other teams in boats of different sizes for either the fastest time completing a distance, or to be the first boat to cross the finish line.

No. You just need to be willing to work hard.
Do I need equipment?
We recommend having athletic/compression style clothing for practicing and some sort of water resistant jacket. A racing uniform will be provided and other rowing swag/merch is available online.

Plastic reusable water bottle
Sneakers/Running shoes
Drawstring bag
When are practices?
At the start of each season (fall/spring) we will typically begin with on land training, utilizing rowing machines called ergs either as individuals or small groups to build endurance and enhance technique. We then transition to practicing on the water during early mornings (around 5:30 am) 3-5 days a week, weather permitting. A weekly practice plan will be sent out before the start of each week providing practice times, lineups, and workout details.
