Merrick Chorale

About Us

The Merrick Chorale was founded in 1982 to perform the choral section of Verdi’s Requiem in a concert sponsored by the Merrick Symphony. Since then, this group of eighteen dedicated singers has been performing classical, sacred, holiday and pop music at various community locations throughout the year. The members of the Chorale are diverse in background and musical experience. We gather together on Tuesday nights from Merrick, Bellmore and neighboring towns at Temple Beth Am in Merrick to fulfill our love of vocal expression in group singing. Cantor Daniel M. Rosenfeld of Temple Beth Am in Merrick assumed the direction of the Chorale in 2021. He has expanded our repertory to include both more Jewish and contemporary popular works.
