About Me

I am excited to be part of the Meridian Public School district.  I am a small town girl who grew up in Jansen, Nebraska.  In 2000, I graduated from Fairbury Jr.-Sr. High School.  I then went on to receive my Bachelor’s of Science in Secondary Mathematics teaching in 2004.  After receiving my degree, I taught at Louisville Public Schools for four years.  I enjoyed working with the students and knew that my heart would always be working with students in a public school setting.  In January 2006, I went on to start my Master of Science in Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction, which I completed in May 2007.  It was shortly there after that I moved back to my hometown in Jansen to be closer to my family.  In August 2009, I began working at Lewiston Consolidated School as a math/technology/business teacher as well as working on some curriculum for the district.  I decided to continue on my education to become a K-12 Guidance Counselor.  When the opportunity to apply for the PK-12 Guidance Counselor at Lewiston Consolidated School opened, I began working in August 2013 as the PK-12 Guidance Counselor and Curriculum coordinator for the district.  In 2017, continuing my passion for school counseling, I began as the school counselor at Meridian Public Schools.  It has been a great experience to get to know students, parents, staff, and the community, and I have greatly enjoyed being able to be closer to my family.

I currently reside in Plymouth with my son, Christian.  Christian is a sophomore at Meridian.  It is amazing how fast kids grow, but he really has enjoyed the friends and teachers he has made here.  I am excited to see what the future holds for him at Meridian.  I am looking forward to another exciting year for both my son and I.
