A little bit about me...I grew up in Jansen, Nebraska. In 2000, I graduated from Fairbury Jr.-Sr. High School. I then went on to receive my Bachelor of Science in Secondary Mathematics Teaching in 2004. After receiving my degree, I taught at Lousiville High school for 4 years. In January 2006, I went on to start my Master of Science in Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction, which I completed in May 2007. It was shortly there after that I moved back to my homework in Jansen to be closer to my family. In August 2009, I began working at Lewiston Consolidated School as a math/technology/business teacher as well as working on some curriculum and assessment for the district. I decided to continue my education to become a K-12 School Counselor. When the opportunity to apply for the PK-12 School Counselor at Lewiston Consolidated School opened, I began working in August 2013 as the school counselor for the district. In 2017, continuing my passion for school counseling, I became the school counselor for Meridian Public Schools. It has been a great experience to get to know students, parents, staff, and the community, and I have greatly enjoyed being able to be closer to my family.
I currently reside in Plymouth with my son, Christian. Christian is a 2026 graduate of Meridian High School. He really enjoyed the friendships he has developed and the teachers he has had here at Meridian. It really is a great place to be, and I am proud to be part of the Meridian staff.
