Mrs. Hadowsky's Art Class

My name is April Hadowsky and I teach k-5 art at Meridian Elementary School in Blue Mound, Illinois. This is my 24th year at Meridian CUSD 15. I graduated from SIUE with a bachelor degree for Art Education in May of 1997 and was hired at Meridian that summer of 97. I absolutely love this district! I have felt at home since day one. It is the coolest thing to have the privilege of teaching students of past students. 

I love to create and I enjoy watching and assisting children create and explore.  In my free time I like to host paint parties, spend time with family and friends, attend my daughters activities, attend music concerts, and go camping with my family. I live in the country with my husband and three daughters. I also have a step daughter who lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and three kids. We enjoy rural living and have several pets including a big yellow lab named Duke, a fluffy cat named Dusty, several barn cats, chickens and new to the farm is Nancy my daughters bearded dragon.
