Even if you are unable to directly contribute to preventing linguistic barriers, there are still places that you can donate to, and ways to help within your own community!
Organisations to Support
MYAN works in partnership with young people, government and civil society to promote the rights and interests of young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds and ensure these are recognised in policy and practice.
They facilitate national connections between young people, academics, policy makers and practitioners, develop expert policy advice, provide youth leadership opportunities, and develop capacity building resources.
The SCOA's goal is to help ensure the best possible settlement outcomes for migrants and refugees settling in Australia.
The Settlement Council of Australia represents settlement agencies across Australia, in order to provide direct services to people of refugee and migrant background.
SSI is a community organisation and social business that supports newcomers and other Australians to achieve their full potential.
They work with all people who have experienced vulnerability, including refugees, people seeking asylum, and culturally and linguistically diverse communities, in order to help to overcome inequality.
