Spiritual Formation

There's a beautiful Vineyard Song called "God of Our Mothers and Fathers." When I sing it, I think of my own spiritual mothers and fathers - the people who went before me and came alongside me and showed me the ways of Jesus. As I remember these people and my journey, I often see myself as a child. I remember the clarity I had about Jesus's love for me, the never-satisfied-curiosity, the delight I felt in worship, and the tenacity I possessed in prayer.
One line from the song says, "What you were back then come and be again, we want to see your power in our presence." And this makes me long for my own childhood faith. So, I'm going after it...I'm going after it they way my spiritual mothers and fathers taught me to - through ritual and practices, and with friends. Mercy family, I'd love for you to join me in inviting the Holy Spirit to Come and Move:
