Home Services

At Mercy Autism Center, we offer home-based sessions as part of our comprehensive treatment approach. Our home-based ABA (applied behavior analysis) program provides individualized one-on-one therapy sessions for your child, delivered by a Registered Line/Behavior Technician. These sessions are conducted under the supervision of a highly qualified and experienced professional, either a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).

One of the key advantages of home-based sessions is the comfort and privacy it offers to both your child and your family. By conducting the sessions in the familiar surroundings of your own home, we can create a conducive learning environment that promotes engagement and progress.

The home-based setting allows us to tailor the therapy to your child's specific needs and daily routines. We understand that each child is unique, and their developmental goals may vary. By designing interventions that align with their natural environment, we aim to enhance their functional skills and ensure that the newly acquired abilities can be applied effectively in their everyday life.

Our dedicated team of professionals focuses on teaching new skills and replacing challenging behaviors with more appropriate and functional alternatives within the home setting. This approach promotes generalization, meaning your child will be better equipped to transfer their skills to new people and different environments.

In addition to benefiting your child, home-based sessions also provide an opportunity for the whole family to participate in the therapy process. Siblings and peers can be involved, creating a supportive network that fosters a sense of understanding and collaboration. This inclusive approach helps create a more holistic and enriching experience for your child.

At Mercy Autism Center, we recognize the importance of family involvement and collaboration. Our team works closely with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your child's goals and aspirations. We provide guidance, support, and training to empower you as caregivers, ensuring that the progress made during home-based sessions can be reinforced consistently.

By choosing home-based sessions at Mercy Autism Center, you can provide your child with a comfortable and familiar learning environment while actively participating in their journey of growth and development. Together, we can make a positive difference in your child's life and help them reach their fullest potential.

Center Services

Mercy Autism Center is proud to offer center-based services as part of our comprehensive ABA (applied behavior analysis) program. Center-based therapy takes place at our dedicated office or clinic location, specially designed to provide an optimal learning environment for your child.

The center is thoughtfully arranged with different spaces to accommodate various aspects of therapy. We have designated areas for one-on-one training, social development, and play, ensuring that your child receives a well-rounded and comprehensive ABA therapy experience.

One of the key benefits of center-based therapy is the structured and distraction-free environment it provides. By removing potential distractions found in home or community settings, we can create a focused learning environment that promotes engagement and progress. This structured setting allows for targeted interventions and facilitates the acquisition of new skills.

In addition, the center-based setting offers an ideal opportunity for generalization. Generalization refers to the ability to use acquired skills in different situations and settings. By practicing skills in a new environment, your child learns to apply what they've learned in therapy to real-life situations outside of the center. This promotes a more comprehensive and functional understanding of the skills being taught.

Furthermore, center-based sessions allow for socialization opportunities and consistent peer interactions. Depending on the individual needs and goals of each learner, our clinical team can carefully match participants to optimize socialization experiences. This may involve structured playdates or group activities designed to promote social skills, communication, and positive interactions with peers.

Our dedicated team of professionals at Mercy Autism Center works closely with you and your child to develop an individualized treatment plan that addresses their specific needs and goals. Center-based therapy offers a controlled and supportive environment where your child can thrive and make meaningful progress.

By choosing center-based services at Mercy Autism Center, you provide your child with access to a dedicated space designed for their success. Our team is committed to creating a positive and enriching experience that fosters growth, independence, and a greater quality of life.

School Services

Mercy Autism Center is pleased to offer school-based services as part of our ABA (applied behavior analysis) program. School-based therapy involves providing support and treatment for your child within the school setting, alongside their peers and in collaboration with the school team.

By incorporating ABA into the school environment, we aim to create a less restrictive and inclusive experience for your child. This means they can participate in classroom activities and interact with their peers while receiving the necessary support to effectively engage in classroom-based instruction. The school-based approach allows for a more seamless integration of therapy into your child's daily school routine.

One of the significant advantages of school-based ABA is the focus on generalization of skills. After mastering skills in a home or center-based setting, the school environment provides an ideal opportunity to apply those skills in a different context. This helps your child transfer and generalize their learned skills to a real-world setting, improving their overall independence and functioning.

In the school environment, our ABA program targets pivotal skills that are crucial for your child's success in the classroom. This includes developing the ability to effectively participate in classroom activities, engage with teachers and classmates, and sustain attention for longer periods. By addressing these pivotal skills, we empower your child to actively participate in their educational journey and make meaningful progress.

We understand the importance of collaboration and communication with the school team. In many cases, our school-based ABA program works alongside the school staff and consults with teachers to ensure consistency and maximize the effectiveness of the interventions. However, it's important to note that some school districts or parishes may have specific policies regarding outside providers on their campuses, and we adapt accordingly while providing support to the best of our abilities.

At Mercy Autism Center, our priority is to support your child's educational experience and facilitate their overall development within the school environment. We work closely with the school team and educators to create a comprehensive and cohesive approach that benefits your child's progress.

Choose Mercy Autism Center's school-based ABA services to help your child thrive in the classroom, engage with their peers, and achieve their academic and social goals. Together, we can provide the necessary support and interventions to ensure their success within the school setting.

Telehealth Services

Mercy Autism Center is proud to offer telehealth services as part of our ABA (applied behavior analysis) program. Telehealth sessions provide a convenient and accessible option for individuals and families who may face access difficulties or have strict schedules.

Telehealth ABA sessions take place through a secure and HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform. This technology allows our clinicians to connect with clients remotely, bridging the gap between those in need of services and the available clinicians. It provides a valuable alternative to in-person sessions, ensuring that individuals can receive the support and treatment they require, regardless of their location.

Before initiating telehealth sessions, our supervising BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) assesses the clinical appropriateness for each patient's specific needs. This evaluation ensures that telehealth is a suitable option and aligns with the individual's treatment goals. The patient and/or their family must also provide approval to engage in telehealth services. It's important to note that telehealth may not be suitable for all cases and its coverage by insurance providers must be confirmed.

Telehealth sessions offer several benefits and opportunities. They allow the BCBA to observe in-home sessions remotely, providing valuable insights and guidance to caregivers in real-time. This facilitates immediate support and intervention during challenging situations. Additionally, telehealth enables regular caregiver training sessions, empowering working caregivers with the necessary skills and strategies to support their child's development effectively.

At Mercy Autism Center, we understand the importance of maintaining a strong connection and open communication with our clients and their families. Telehealth services allow us to provide ongoing support, consultation, and training, ensuring that families feel supported and equipped to implement effective strategies within their daily routines.

Please note that the availability and coverage of telehealth services may vary depending on insurance providers and local regulations. Our team is committed to working closely with you to explore the best options and navigate the process to ensure the highest quality of care for your child.

Choose Mercy Autism Center's telehealth services to experience the convenience, accessibility, and valuable support provided by our dedicated clinicians. We are here to help, even from a distance, and empower you and your child on the journey towards progress and success.

Caregiver Support Services

At Mercy Autism Center, we recognize the crucial role of caregivers in the progress and development of individuals with autism. That's why we offer comprehensive caregiver training services as part of our ABA (applied behavior analysis) program.

Caregiver training is designed to empower parents and family members with the knowledge, skills, and strategies needed to effectively support their child's growth and development. Our highly qualified and experienced BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) or BCaBA (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst) conducts these training sessions, ensuring that caregivers receive expert guidance and support.

During caregiver training sessions, our BCBA or BCaBA works closely with the caregivers to teach them the techniques and tactics utilized in home, school, or center-based ABA sessions. The training sessions focus on equipping caregivers with practical tools to implement interventions, manage challenging behaviors, and create effective opportunities for their child's progress.

The benefits of caregiver training are numerous. By participating in these sessions, parents and caregivers gain a deeper understanding of their child's treatment plan and goals. They become familiar with the strategies used by our clinicians and learn how to implement them consistently in their everyday routines. This consistency between therapy sessions and home life promotes better outcomes and accelerates progress for the child.

Caregiver training also provides an opportunity to address specific scenarios and challenges that may arise in the child's daily life. The BCBA or BCaBA can provide guidance on handling difficult situations, managing transitions, and promoting positive behavior. These sessions are personalized to meet the unique needs of each family, ensuring that the training is relevant and tailored to their specific circumstances.

We offer caregiver training sessions in both in-person and telehealth formats. In-person sessions allow for direct interaction and hands-on demonstrations, while telehealth sessions provide convenience and flexibility for those who may have difficulty attending in-person sessions. Telehealth sessions are conducted through a secure and HIPAA-compliant platform, ensuring privacy and confidentiality.

By investing in caregiver training, parents and caregivers become active participants in their child's therapy journey. They develop the skills and confidence needed to support their child's progress and create an environment that fosters growth and success.

At Mercy Autism Center, we are committed to providing comprehensive support and resources to empower caregivers. Through our caregiver training services, we ensure that families receive the tools and knowledge necessary to make a positive impact on their child's development.

Choose Mercy Autism Center's caregiver training services to enhance your ability to support your child's growth and unlock their fullest potential. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in your child's life and the well-being of your entire family.

Community Consultation

Mercy Autism Center is proud to offer comprehensive consultation services to local schools and community service providers. We are a trusted resource for organizations seeking supplemental ABA (applied behavior analysis) therapy services to address new challenges and achieve their goals for learners.

Our School and Community Consulting services are highly individualized and tailored to meet the specific needs of each school, student, teacher, or community provider. We work collaboratively with educational institutions and community organizations to provide a range of support and interventions.

One aspect of our consultation services is individualized treatment planning for learners. Our experienced behavior analysts work closely with students, teachers, and providers to develop personalized plans that address the unique needs and goals of each individual. This includes conducting standardized assessments to establish baselines and interventions, providing support and development for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and performing Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to understand and address maladaptive behaviors that may be interfering with learning.

Based on the assessments and evaluations, our team creates Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) that outline recommended intervention strategies. These plans provide guidance and support for addressing challenging behaviors and promoting positive behavior change in the educational or community setting.

Our consultation services also include direct intervention and data collection. This can involve one-on-one therapy, group therapy, and educational support programs delivered by our skilled professionals. We collect and analyze data to track progress, modify interventions as needed, and ensure effective outcomes for learners.

Caregiver training is an integral part of our consultation services. We provide training and guidance to parents or guardians, empowering them with the skills and knowledge necessary to support their child's development and implement strategies at home.

Additionally, our consultation services encompass customized treatment planning, transition plans from highly intrusive to less intrusive environments, and teacher in-service training workshops. We offer workshops that cover ABA fundamentals, strategies, and tools, providing teachers with valuable insights and techniques to support learners effectively.

When necessary, we also provide supplemental curriculum with differential instruction. This can be delivered through telehealth or in-person support, depending on the unique needs and circumstances of the organization or school.

Mercy Autism Center's consultation services are designed to be flexible, adaptable, and responsive to the evolving needs of our partner schools and community providers. We strive to be a trusted partner in promoting positive outcomes for learners and supporting the educational and community environments in which they thrive.

Choose Mercy Autism Center's consultation services to benefit from our expertise, individualized approach, and commitment to helping schools and community service providers achieve their goals in supporting learners with autism and related disorders. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of individuals and communities.
