KCLS and MISD Partnership


How do I log in when using a KCLS database?

Through a partnership between the Mercer Island School District and King County Library System, all students K-12 enrolled in MISD schools have access to a KCLS e-card. This card allows students access to all KCLS digital materials, including databases, eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, newspapers, and homework help, which can be access from school or home and from any device.

Encyclopedia BritannicaArticles, images, definitions, and links to trusted sources. Users can select reading level.
The World Book Encyclopedia 2022 provides authoritative content on almost every topic to learners of all ages, from school-age readers (9-18) to adults.
Explora is EBSCO's research interface designed specifically for students and educators. The secondary school version features relevant and reliable content and easy-to-use functionality to help high school students successfully complete their research.

The Unites States public health agency provides access to full text articles, podcasts, and public health publications.
MedlinePlus is a service of the National Library of Medicine (NLM), the world's largest medical library, which is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
The PubMed database contains more than 33 million citations and abstracts of biomedical literature. It does not include full text journal articles; however, links to the full text are often present when available from other sources, such as the publisher's website or PubMed Central (PMC).
Search over 60 databases, over 2,200 websites, and over 200 million pages of authoritative federal science information in many formats, including full-text documents, citations, scientific data supporting federally funded research, and multimedia.
