See what library books as well as ebooks you are able to check out & put on hold from our library.


Putting a book on hold from Destiny Discover

NO MORE CHECKING OUT LIBRARY BOOKS THIS YEAR

  • Once you are on Destiny Discover, sign in by using your normal Google username & password

  • Search for a book from our library by looking in Topics, Recently Added, Popular Titles or type in a book in the Search bar

  • You can either place the book on hold from the picture side or click on the picture & see more details then click hold from there. If book is not available it will show a red flag on the upper right corner.

  • For Distance Learners, you may put on hold & checkout 2 books at a time. You may have those books for 2 weeks at a time before needing to return them. For Hybrid students, they can checkout 1 book at a time. When they are finished with their book, they can turn it in & get a new book that they have put on hold.

  • I will pull the book for you (as long as the book is not lost) & pass out to you during our Library Book Pick Up day (see below). For Hybrid students, I’ll bring the book to the classroom.

  • You can only checkout books once your other books are returned.


Renewing Your Library Book

If you are not finished reading your library book by the time it is due, you can renew it on Destiny Discover. To do this you would do the following:

  • Sign in to Destiny Discover

  • Click on My Stuff

  • Click on Checkouts

  • When you see the picture of the book you would like to renew, click on the word "renew". It will then give you your new due date.

Checking out an ebook from Destiny Discover

OVER 300 EBOOKS TO CHOOSE FROM

Once you are on Destiny Discover, sign in by using your normal Google username & password

  • Search all of the ebooks our library as to offer by clicking on "ebooks" (more ebooks will be added in the near future)

  • Once you find a book you like click on the picture & will give you more details.

  • You can either read that book right away or check it out.

  • To read it right away & at 1 sitting you would click on Open.

  • If you want a book to read for more than just a couple minutes you would want to checkout that book. You are not able to checkout that ebook if it has a red flag in the upper right corner.

  • Once your book is checked out, you have 2 weeks before that book is due or you may renew it.

  • Once you are finished with your ebook, sign in to Destiny Discover & click on that book again & click "return".

Curbside Pickup for Library Books Placed on Hold & Book Return

All books that have been placed on hold will be pulled from the shelves every Tuesday (as long as those books are available). Reminder: You can not put books on hold or checkout books if you have an overdue book.

Every Wednesday we will have a curbside pickup from 9:00am - 11:30pm. Pick ups will be in the front of the school. If you have a book to return, you will drop it off in the tub that is marked "For Returned Books" at the start of the drive thru line. You will then pull forward towards the kindergarten doors. Once you drive up to Ms. Cyndi, you will give her the students name & she will hand you the students book/books. Please make sure you are wearing a mask.
