What is Beyond the Classroom?
Beyond the Classroom is an expanded learning program. That means it takes place outside of normal instruction time. Beyond The Classroom includes learning opportunities in STEM, sports and recreation, music, academic enrichment, and more!
Who is eligible?
Who is eligible?
Currently, due to staffing limitations, space is limited to TK-6th grade students who qualify through the Free/Reduced-Price Meals application, are in the foster/homeless program, or are English learners. As staffing increases, we will look to increase the program capacity as well.
How much does it cost?

There is no cost to students who qualify through the Free/Reduced-Price Meals program or students in the foster/homeless program.
When does the program begin?

The program begins on the first day of school, Wednesday, August 13, 2025 right after school.

The program ends on the last day of school, June 6. 2025. It will also be open during some of our school breaks. A calendar will be shared with all families enrolled in Beyond the Classroom.

When and where do I pick my student up?

Students can be picked up after the first activity OR after the second activity.
Elementary School: 4:00 or 5:00

Students will be picked up in front of the school. Parents/guardians will be given a code to enter for the checkout process.

No, students can attend any days/activities that works best for you. We do ask that you notify the administrator if they are no longer able to attend a class they are enrolled in so we can offer that spot to another student.

No, students must attend Beyond the Classroom right after school and stay until they are picked up.

Yes, your child needs to be in attendance at school to attend their scheduled activities in the after school program.

Students attending Beyond the Classroom will be picked up at their classroom by our staff and/or the Expanded Learning Administrator at 11:30. There will be no more than 10 students in this group. Students will then get lunch in the cafeteria, followed by time on the playground. The site coordinator will then take students to a classroom where they have a variety of activities each day such as, phonics, read-alouds, letters and numbers practice, and hands-on centers including puzzles, crafts, legos, etc

Students will report to the Multi-Purpose Room where attendance will be taken and they will have supper. Students in TK - 2nd grade will be picked up from their classroom for the first week.

ELEMENTARY: Students will begin the after school program right after school at 12:30. They will report to the MPR at dismissal. When registering your child and creating their schedules, you will sign up for four activities on Wednesdays (if you are full time and your child is staying till 5:00). Students have two activities to choose from for the 12:40-1:30 time block and another two activities to choose from for the 1:30-2:30 time block. Students will then get their supper at 2:30 and attend their 3:00 activity and 4:00 activity (if they are staying till 5:00).
MIDDLE: Students will begin the after school program right after school at 12:30. They will report to the MPR at dismissal. Students will have an activity from 1:30-2:45 and then supper at 3:00. Students can then attend the 3:30 and4:30 activities.

After you have entered your email or phone number on the registration page, and have selected your child, the activities will populate on the screen.

In order to change your child's schedule, revisit the home site here and enter your email/phone number to bring up your child. Then, click on the "select" button as if you were registering. This will bring up the classes that you previously selected and allow you to add more activities.

To view your child's schedule, go back to the home page and go through the steps of enrolling them and adding activities. This will bring up the classes you selected. If a class is now blank, this means that the class is full. In this case, you will need to email your school's ELOP Administrator to get a copy of your child's schedule.

ELEMENTAL: Los estudiantes comenzarán el programa después de la escuela justo después de la escuela a las 12:30. Se reportarán al MPR a la hora de la salida. Al registrar a su hijo y crear sus horarios, se registrará paracuatroactividades los miércoles (si está a tiempo completo y su hijo se queda hasta las 5:00). Los estudiantes tienen dos actividades para elegir para el bloque de tiempo de 12:40 a 1:30 y otras dos
