We will utilize Google Classroom as our primary Learning Management System (LMS). All warm-ups, lessons/presentations, projects, and course information will be found here. Reference the course syllabus for access information.

Course Expectations:
Cell phones should be off and away, in a bag.
Students will use their school-issued Chromebook or personal computer device to complete assignments and communicate with the teacher. This course utilizes Google Classroom, E-Mail communications, and Google Apps regularly. If a student forgets their Chromebook or personal computer device, they will need to check one out of the office.
As a technology-driven, hands-on course, it is crucial that students attend all classes. Skills are built over the year from the ground up. The student will be responsible for catching up on work after an absence. Do not hesitate to ask Marshall for help along the way. We are in this together!
Send an email or call/text directly to Marshall so you can set up a plan.
All lessons, project handouts, and warm-up activities will be accessible via Google Classroom. So, if a student misses a class, materials will be available to them outside of classroom hours.
As stated in the Student Handbook: Students are expected to attend class to access content and receive credit. While a grade is based on achievement, credit is based on hours of coursework. Therefore, regardless of achievement, a student who has 5 or more unexcused absences in this class in a semester may be issued a failing grade.
Students will be allowed live on the air and can check out equipment in the lab when they have demonstrated the maturity and professionalism to do so.
Students will be expected to participate in 8 hours per school year of media activities outside of regular class hours. Students have the option to fill these hours producing radio shows for KAKX or assisting with one of the 70+ events we provide technical assistance for. There are plenty of opportunities to meet this goal! Note: Additional Responsible Citizenship credit can be earned once a student has met our 8-hour requirement.
