We will utilize Google Classroom as our primary Learning Management System (LMS). All warm-ups, lessons/presentations, projects, and course information will be found here. Reference the course syllabus for access information.
Course Expectations:
● As a technology driven, hands-on course it is crucial that students attend all classes. Skills are built over the year from the ground up.
● Students will utilize their school issued Chromebook to complete assignments and communicate with the teacher.
● It will be the student’s responsibility to catch up on work after an absence. But do not hesitate to ask Marshall for help along the way, we are in this together!
o Send an email or call/text directly to Marshall so you can set up a plan.
o All lessons, projects, and warm-ups will be accessible via Google Classroom. So, if a student misses a class, materials will be available to them outside of classroom hours.
o As stated in the Student Handbook, if a student has more than 5 unexcused absences the teacher could issue a failing grade.
● Students will be allowed live on-the-air and have the ability to check-out equipment in the lab when they have demonstrated the maturity and professionalism to do so.
● Students will be expected to participate in 8 hours per school-year of media activities outside of regular class hours. These hours can be fulfilled by assisting with one of the 70+ events we manage or via our radio station KAKX.
● Cell phones are off and away.
