Fenway and Hattie is a heartwarming story told from Fenway's point of view, an energetic and enthusiastic Jack Russell terrier who adores his “short human” best friend, Hattie. When Fenway’s family moves from the city to the suburbs, Fenway must navigate new surroundings, strange “wicked floors,” odd new neighbors, and the challenge of understanding changes in Hattie’s interests. As Hattie begins to spend more time with friends and new activities, Fenway worries he’s being left behind. Through his loyal and hopeful perspective, the book explores themes of friendship, growing up, change, and learning to see the world through someone else’s eyes.
