Assistive Listening Systems, in general, are used to help hearing-impaired attendees be more able to hear presentations, panels, speeches, etc., especially in noisy environments (like Court, for example). The SCA ALS can be used by any attendees of an event where this system has been set up to improve their ability to hear under less than ideal circumstances, such as from the back row of the crowd or outside the room entirely. It is a closed loop broadcasting system designed to work with a localized wifi network and personal devices.
Currently, the East Kingdom has one ALS kit that could be brought to any Royal Progress event. Event stewards can contact the Reign Chief of Staff for details on using it at their event.
