In this session, we will discuss how to incorporate student reflection before and after a math topic in order to increase student ownership of their learning. We will share some techniques we have tried this year and give time for brainstorming strategies to incorporate into your own practice.

What Was My Goal Again? How Can We Better Support the Middle Stage of Goal Setting

In this session, we will talk about the challenges in keeping our students actively thinking of their goals and action steps when goal setting is not the "lesson of the day". We will share some strategies being implemented this year and brainstorm other ways to implement and support this practice.

Building in Representation: Building Up Self-Directed Learners

In this session, we will dive into the meaning of representation through the lens of UDL. We will explore resources geared towards developing students into self-directed learners, both at school and at home. We will discuss new technology tools that help students to access curriculum and advocate for themselves as learners.
