We will be giving out costumes during picture week if MLA Staff has approved. Performers will try on their costumes at Melody Lane, our staff will steam the costumes and label the garment bags.

All jewelry, temporary tattoos, and nail polish should be removed before picture day.
There will be limited time slots during class and extra days/times Friday-Saturday. Classes will run as usual but we will be doing photos during classes.
Time slots are assigned on a first come first serve basis. The order of form submission will dictate the order of scheduling. We will try to schedule photos during or very close to your class time. Submit the forms ASAP!!
Teens who are in a lot of classes, we are working to keep the bulk of all your photos on 1-2 days. Teens may talk to Miss Sidney if they have questions.

THE DAY OF
Your performer must be dressed and ready before their time slot, we will be photographing up to 500 individual costumes this season. Every time slot impacts those around it, please be on time. Arriving late or not being ready when staff comes to collect a performer will result in immediate forfeit of your time slot. If this happens please leave your information at the front desk with a Lobby Host and MLA will contact you about a potential reschedule with us or how to schedule another time with the photographer.
Time slots will be 5 minutes in length, your performer should arrive at MLA 10 minutes before class or their time slot, whichever is first. Your performers costume will be steamed, labeled, and ready to wear. Tights will be with the costume. All costumes came with tights this year, please wear the new tights that are in the costume bag. (contact cyndi@melodylaneacademy.com if you need to purchase tights). Performers will not be photographed in improper tights, you will need to reschedule.
GROUP PHOTOS ($5 deposit per group)
Broadway Babies, Acro, and Performance Jazz/Tap do NOT take group photos.
SIBLINGS
We love to get photos of siblings in costume! If you would like to have siblings photographed together you may do so via the form.
FEE/DEPOSIT INFORMATION
Your account will be charged $35.82 PER individual/sibling/small group set submitted via the sign up form.
$25 will serve as a deposit towards your purchase of photos from the photographer Gary Delp
The remaining $10+tax is a sitting fee paid to Melody Lane for facilitating photos, scheduling, and posing during sessions.
Please note that if you select to purchase group photos there is a $5 deposit that will be added to the $35.82 fee/deposit.
The $35.82 (and any group fees) will be charged to accounts on 4/14/23.
If not signed up before the 5th of April there will be a $5 per time slot late fee and will be added to run with the card on file within 24 hours of submission. .
Your performer will be able to borrow a costume in their size if their costume is not here yet!

MLA provides all accessories for photos, and keeps accessories on site. You will not have them in your garment bags. We will handle all those bows and clips for you :) Please note - we keep all costumes at the studio so they do not get misplaced but after photos it is your responsibility to bring them to the showcase in the condition you received them. Including tights/shoes/nude leotards.

Information
Performers should not wear underwear if they are required to wear tights. We do require that you purchase your tights for picture week and showcase from the Sparkle Store at Melody Lane. We want everyone in the correct color of tights. If you have ordered showcase tights or a nude leotard they will be with your garment bag on picture day.
You should purchase a nude leotard to wear under costumes. Wearing a nude leotard comes in handy for: quick changes, itchiness, and costume malfunctions while performing. Younger performers who are not yet completely comfortable with not wearing underwear can wear a nude leotard the entire time and put their tights on over the leotard.
All students may wear makeup for the photos: Optional makeup application includes; foundation, blush, lipstick, mascara, eyeliner, eye shadow (please no blue eye shadow, it doesn't photograph well).
Students ages 3-6 are encouraged to wear a little mascara and lip color to keep their face from being washed out under the photography lights.
Please style hair to match class dress code. Int-Adv level Dancers may get different directions from teachers
