Krissy Pomeroy

Director of Bands & Choirs

Krissy grew up in Cape May, New Jersey and graduated from Lower Cape May Regional High School in 2007. When it comes to band, she didn't join until she was in 8th grade. But once she started playing flute, she was hooked! She was involved in all musical ensembles and was on the editing staff of the Yearbook. She also served as President of Tri-M Music Honor Society.

At Rowan University, Krissy received a BM and BA in music education and studied flute under Adeline Tomasone (Philadelphia Orchestra and Philadelphia Opera Company). She participated in any and all ensembles, including the New Jersey Intercollegiate Band in 2011 and as president of Sigma Alpha Iota, International Music Fraternity for Women.

In 2012, Krissy moved to Baltimore, Maryland and began her teaching career in Baltimore County Public Schools as an elementary music teacher. She married David Pomeroy in 2014 and had their son, David Jr., in 2015.

David received his Masters from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2016 and landed a job coaching Women's Lacrosse in northern Wisconsin. This gave Krissy's family the opportunity to move to the northland and start a new life as Wisconsinites.

Krissy's been teaching at the Mellen School District as a music teacher/band director/choir director since Fall 2016. She loves every minute of her job!
