Should I OPT-IN or OPT-OUT?
LET'S GET STARTED ON HELPING YOU WITH YOUR RECOVERY!
OPT-OUT
Hazardous Materials Testing and Removal: Before the removal of hazardous materials and household hazardous wastes (HHW) a California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) should assess and sample all residential, and other affected areas of the site, to identify and remove gross asbestos.
Demolition & Debris Removal: Along with debris removal, the existing foundation and any standing parts of the remaining structure must be broken up and demolished. Foundations cannot be saved due to the extreme temperatures of the fire and their expansive effects on the internal structural steel. This expansion causes weakening and cracking in the foundation.
Haul-Away: All debris, hazardous or otherwise, must be hauled away and disposed of at a pre-approved, designated dump site.
Site Preparation, Backfilling & Grading: The first step in construction is preparing the site for building. This may involve backfilling, grading to the correct elevations, and laying out the lot according to the building plans.
Shell Construction: With the site properly prepped, construction begins. This phase includes installing underground utilities and waste plumbing, pouring the foundation, and framing the structure.
Enclosure & Rough Installations: Once the structure is up, it must be enclosed. Windows and doors are installed to secure the building, allowing rough electrical and plumbing work to begin.
Interior & Exterior Finishes: Finish materials are installed inside and out. This includes roofing, siding, drywall, cabinetry, kitchen and bathroom fixtures, and more.
Landscaping & Final Touches: With construction complete, the site is cleaned and landscaping begins. This includes walkways, grass, flower beds, and other exterior features.
