The 5th grade students have been working hard on the ukulele this year. We started by learning about the strings on the ukulele and learning melodies. We have learned some chords and are able to play along with some of our favorite songs.

Soprano Ukulele
Soprano Ukulele
We are playing the soprano ukulele. This is the smallest type of ukulele. The ukulele has four strings and can be strummed together or played individually.
We are using a book called Rainbow Ukulele. The students will be earning beads for accomplishments they achieve on the ukulele. These range from learning the parts of the ukulele learning how to tune the strings and playing different melodies and chords.
